Marbas was established in 2015 in Winchester, Hampshire as a firm of Consulting Structural and Civil Engineers. We are a widely experienced and proactive engineering firm with a creative approach to problem solving. Working closely with the design team, our aim is to deliver solutions that respond to clients’ requirements whilst delivering excellent value. Marbas is committed to developing a sustainable agenda both within our practice and with our clients. We strive to achieve inspiring and practical solutions that make a genuine difference to the built environment whilst considering the environmental impact.
The company was founded by Barnaby Swann and Sam Farzam, both Chartered Engineers and Members of the Institution of Structural Engineers. They have both gained a broad range of experience working on projects ranging from residential developments to international airports. The company has grown significantly since its inception and with key members of staff has further strengthened its knowledge base.

Marbas use the latest software to ensure that their designs are efficient, even on the most challenging projects. Where appropriate, 3D modelling is utilised, enabling us to coordinate our information effectively with other disciplines in a collaborative BIM environment.
