Valérie is a Transport Consultant with a Masters in Transport Planning and Highway Engineering from the University of Leeds. In 2013, after holding senior positions at a number of large multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancies throughout the UK, Valérie founded Transport Seeds Limited, a specialist transport planning consultancy based on the Isle of Wight, where she applies her extensive knowledge and experience of a full range of transport planning matters gained over 20 years’ experience in the field. She is also currently working with Hampshire County Council, providing technical and training support to their in-house transport and highway services team.
 
Although well versed in traffic engineering and transport modelling, Valérie’s area of expertise lies in development planning and she has been advising major retailers, house builders, land owners, developers and most recently Red Funnel, on the impacts of new development from the initial site appraisal stages through to planning and implementation. Valérie has extensive experience of in preparing planning application material and in undertaking post-submission negotiations with local authorities. From planning to successful project delivery, she has guided clients and design teams on a wide range of planning and statutory procedures, including Planning and Highways Act Agreements (Section 106, 38 and 278), policy advice, planning negotiations and land compensation advice. She also has experience as an Expert Witness at Public Inquiries.
